Mindful Together – Insights from a Parent and Teen on the Spectrum**
In this workshop a parent and her autistic teen share their personal journey from childhood through to the teenage years, exploring the benefits of mindfulness in everyday life. In this interactive Q\&A session they share their stories, discuss practical strategies, and candid reflections on navigating challenges, building connection, and fostering resilience. Whether you're a parent, carer, educator, or a young person on the spectrum, this session provides meaningful tools and lived experience to help bring more calm, understanding, and presence into your world.

Lily Bea - Lily and her twin sister were identified as having ASD at the age of three and were provided with Education Health and Care plans. They were home educated from the age of 6, following a Steiner curriculum and mindfulness practices have been integrated into this. Lily also began taking piano lessons the following year and developed a passion for it that got her a Guildhall Young Artist Award at the age of 14 to study at junior conservatoire. She is now in her first year studying for her undergraduate degree in classical piano performance at Trinity. Mindfulness and wellbeing practices continue to be integral to her daily life. Her pastimes include cooking, hiking and martial arts.
Jasmine- Jasmine is a parent and carer to ASD twin daughters. Jasmine has run mindfulness and compassion workshops and mini-retreats for parents and carers since 2016. She was the East London CAMHS ‘expert parent’ providing support and workshops for parents of children and young people with ASD, complex behavioural challenges and learning disabilities. In her spare time Jasmine enjoys forest bathing and discovering about tea and tea ceremony.
